Take & Eat
Our Take & Eat Ministry has been an active program for many years providing high-quality meals, prepared with love for the homebound. This ministry is about more than delivery of a nutritious meal. It is a home visit that is enjoyed by the driver and those being served.
Meals are prepared two Sundays a month for approximately 35 homebound “family members” of our community as a supplement to the Meals on Wheels program. Cooking begins around 8 AM and our volunteers, ranging in age from teens to eighty-somethings, are filled with joy as they prepare, plate, and deliver the meals. Each of them brings a special talent to this program and strong friendships are formed across all aspects of this ministry.
The Food Pantry shares any overflow of donations in coordination with the Take & Eat Ministry, which then incorporates these items into their menu.
